Trophy Lake was built in 1988 by Kim Bryant and Alan Sanner. The lake's main purpose is to provide a quality venue for water skiers and other types of water sports. The lake has actually been the site of thirteen world records. Shortly after the lake was built, Bryant and Sanner started a water skiing school, which has been known to produce many regional and nation champion skiers.
